KABUPATEN TOBA (Beritakeadilan.com, Sumatera Utara) Danau Toba, 18 Agustus 2025 – Suasana semarak mewarnai kawasan Danau Toba pada Minggu (17/8) ketika dua momen penting berlangsung bersamaan: perayaan Hari Ulang Tahun ke-80 Republik Indonesia dan babak final dari ajang internasional UIM-ABP Aquabike Class Pro Circuit. InJourney Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) sebagai bagian dari InJourney menghadirkan atmosfer yang menyatukan semangat kemerdekaan dengan prestasi olahraga global.
Perayaan Hari Kemerdekaan digelar sejak pagi di Lapangan Sisingamangaraja, Balige, dengan penuh khidmat dan semangat kebangsaan. Kegiatan diawali dengan penampilan tari etnik khas Sumatera Utara dan dilanjutkan pengibaran bendera Merah Putih oleh Pasukan Pengibar Bendera (Paskibra), diiringi lagu kebangsaan Indonesia Raya yang dinyanyikan bersama para tamu undangan dan masyarakat. Penonton yang memadati area tepian danau semakin antusias ketika 17 bendera merah putih dikibarkan dalam parade lap oleh pembalap-pembalap internasional dari ajang Aquabike World Championship.
Organizing Committee Chairman The Lake Toba GP/Direktur Operasi ITDC Troy Warokka menyampaikan apresiasinya atas kelancaran seluruh rangkaian kegiatan. “Dengan final race hari ini, kami bersyukur dapat menutup musim kompetisi dengan penyelenggaraan yang lancar dan penuh semangat sportivitas. Perayaan HUT ke-80 RI di Danau Toba hari ini juga menjadi bukti bahwa sport tourism dan budaya bisa berjalan beriringan. Kami mengucapkan terima kasih kepada seluruh pihak, mulai dari pembalap, pemerintah daerah, hingga masyarakat yang telah mendukung kelancaran event ini,” ujarnya.
Pada kategori Ski GP1, Oliver Koch Hansen dari Denmark menunjukkan dominasi penuh dengan menyapu bersih tiga moto dan mengumpulkan 72 poin. Performa konsisten Hansen menempatkannya di puncak klasemen sebagai juara musim. Sementara itu, Jeremy Poret dari Prancis dan Yoni Hamelin dari Belgia harus puas di posisi selanjutnya setelah bersaing ketat namun tidak mampu mengejar ketertinggalan poin.
Kelas Ski Ladies GP1 tak kalah dramatis, mempertemukan Jasmiin Ypraus dari Estonia dan Estelle Poret dari Prancis dalam duel penentu yang berlangsung hingga akhir. Meskipun Poret meraih poin penuh di moto terakhir, Ypraus tetap unggul satu poin secara keseluruhan dan memastikan gelar juara dengan 66 poin.
Di kategori Runabout GP1, pembalap Prancis Francois Medori tampil meyakinkan dengan dua kemenangan di Moto 1 dan Moto 2. Ia mengoleksi total 50 poin, unggul atas Samuel Johansson dari Swedia dan Jeremy Perez dari Prancis yang menempati posisi kedua dan ketiga.
Kategori Freestyle juga menjadi pusat perhatian, terutama berkat penampilan Roberto Mariani dari Italy. Ia tampil mengesankan dengan eksekusi trik yang presisi dan ekspresif, berhasil mendapat skor sempurna dan menghibur penonton yang memadati lokasi perlombaan.
Direktur H2O Racing, Raimondo di San Germano, turut menyampaikan apresiasinya terhadap penyelenggaraan event. “Kami sangat puas dengan bagaimana balapan final berlangsung di Danau Toba. Suasana, antusiasme penonton, dan kualitas penyelenggaraan benar-benar melampaui ekspektasi kami. Kami menyampaikan terima kasih kepada panitia lokal, ITDC, dan seluruh otoritas Indonesia atas komitmen dan profesionalismenya. Kami menantikan untuk kembali lagi ke Danau Toba di masa mendatang.”

*ITDC Celebrates Independence Day at Lake Toba and Successfully Hosts the Aquabike World Final*
Balige, Lake Toba, 18 August 2025 – A vibrant atmosphere filled the Lake Toba area on Sunday (17/8) as two significant moments unfolded simultaneously: the celebration of Indonesia’s 80th Independence Day and the final round of the UIM-ABP Aquabike Grand Prix of Indonesia 2025. InJourney Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), as part of InJourney, helped create an environment that seamlessly combined the spirit of national pride with the excitement of global sports achievement.
The Independence Day celebration began in the morning at Lapangan Sisingamangaraja, Balige, with traditional North Sumatran dances, followed by a flag-raising ceremony led by Indonesia’s Paskibra troop. Everyone stood in unity as the national anthem, Indonesia Raya, was sung. A powerful moment came when 17 red-and-white Indonesian flags were paraded around the circuit by international riders from the Aquabike and F1H2O World Championships—blending national pride with international competition.
Meanwhile, just a few meters away, the final race of the UIM-ABP Aquabike Grand Prix of Indonesia drew large crowds to the lakefront. As the final round of the 2025 season, the race delivered excitement from start to finish and showcased impressive performances by top riders from around the world.
Organizing Committee Chairman of The Lake Toba GP / Director Operations of ITDC, Troy Warokka, shared his appreciation for the successful event. “With today’s final race, we feel both proud and grateful to end the season smoothly and with great sportsmanship. The 80th Independence Day celebration here at Lake Toba also shows that sport tourism and culture can go hand in hand. We thank all parties—from the athletes and local government to the community—for their strong support,” he said.
In the Ski GP1 category, Oliver Koch Hansen of Denmark dominated the track, winning all three motos and earning a perfect score of 72 points. His consistent and strong performance secured him the championship title. Jeremy Poret from France and Yoni Hamelin from Belgium also raced well, but couldn’t close the gap to challenge Hansen’s lead.
The Ski Ladies GP1 race was one of the most dramatic of the weekend. Jasmiin Ypraus of Estonia and Estelle Poret of France battled closely until the very end. Although Poret won the final moto, Ypraus stayed just ahead in the overall points and won the title by a single point.
In the Runabout GP1 class, Francois Medori from France claimed back-to-back wins in Moto 1 and Moto 2, earning 50 points and finishing comfortably ahead of his closest competitors, Samuel Johansson from Sweden and Jeremy Perez from France.
In the Freestyle category, Roberto Mariani from Italy amazed the crowd. With confident and almost flawless trick execution, he won both motos and secured 50 points. His performance impressed the judges and thrilled spectators along the lake.
Director of H2O Racing, Raimondo di San Germano also praised the event. “We are very pleased with how the final race unfolded in Lake Toba. The atmosphere, the energy of the crowd, and the overall organization truly exceeded our expectations.
